President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will meet with Yu Zhengsheng, Secretary of China’s Communist Party, instead of President Hu Jintao, the Palace said, correcting a statement made on Monday.
On Monday, the Office of the Press Secretary said that President Arroyo will fly to Shanghai on Tuesday afternoon to hold a meeting with China’s President and visit the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
The meeting with Jintao is expected to "break new grounds in Philippines-China relations and increase friendly exchanges," the Office of the Press Secretary’s statement said.
